Is this calculator a vehicle recommendation?

No. It is an educational worksheet for comparing annual energy costs under inputs chosen by the visitor. It does not recommend a vehicle, predict a resale value, or provide financial, tax, or legal advice.

Why can my result differ from an advertised saving?

Advertised examples often use a single national rate or an idealized charging pattern. Your electricity plan, fuel price, driving efficiency, weather, public-charging use, and route can change the result. Replace each default input with your own evidence.

What does the public-charging share mean?

It is the portion of charging assumed to happen away from home. The calculator uses a transparent higher-cost factor for this portion. If you know the actual public rate you expect to pay, treat the result as a prompt to compare that rate directly.

Which costs are not in the calculator?

Purchase price, insurance, financing, taxes, registration, maintenance, charging equipment, parking, and depreciation are excluded. See the ownership-cost checklist for a source-first way to assess them.

Does the site store my calculator inputs?
